This page explains how to test Own-Mailbox in a virtual machine, on Ubuntu or any debian based distribution, you may easilly adapt this to other distributions.

Building the Virtual Machine

$ sudo apt-get install git vagrant vagrant-libvirt qemu-kvm kvm virt-manager firefox

$ git clone https://github.com/Own-Mailbox/debstrap.git

$ cd debstrap/Vagrant

$ ./build-vm.sh

The last command may take a little long and ask you for your password several times.

Then it will automatically open Firefox with the Own-Mailbox interface in it.

Getting an identification link

Since you are running the Own-Mailbox test version you will have to specify a proxy server and an identification link during the configuration proccess. You may get one with our proxy (proxy.omb.one) server here:
